Six Pittsburgh Promise scholarship alumni were each awarded $5,500 grants as part of HirePgh, a workforce retention program we helped to convene. The program is a partnership between Pittsburgh City Councilman Corey O'Connor, the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh Promise. The GPCC continues to provide support on public policy that helps link job-seekers with employers in Pittsburgh.
